Patterns of Connection was a collaboration between artist Marysa Dowling and neuroscientists Catherine Perrodin and Liam Browne. In our partnership, we explored the contrasts and connections between the artistic and scientific processes and where the two disciplines meet.

“Patterns of Connection” is an intriguing collaboration between artist Marysa Dowling and neuroscientists Catherine Perrodin and Liam Browne, exploring the intersections of art and science. Dowling’s photographic practice focuses on human behaviour and communication, while Perrodin studies how the brain uses vocal sounds to communicate and Browne examines how touch shapes behavior.

209 Women (2019)

209 Women marks 100 years since the first general election in which some women could vote. It seeks to champion the visibility of women, particularly in politics, where decisions are made that affect people of all genders. It features new portraits of the UK’s women MPs, shot entirely by photographers who identify as women.
